final blog

The central idea of my concentration is about how the lines and shapes of nature change overtime.  I wanted to show the beauty of how things that are so live at one point slowly overtime loose their shape and colors.

Reflection:
I am most proud of actually being able to complete this year. I am also proud that i was able to take a little risk with creating more pieces like the black and white breadth piece we made. I was proud that i was able to go outside m comfort zone and actually try to take a picture of something my own instead of putting things together and taking pictures.

What is the central idea of  your concentration?

The central idea of my concentration is about how the lines and shapes of nature change overtime.  I wanted to show how things that are so live at one point slowly overtime loose their shape and colors.

how does your work demonstrate exploration of your idea?

Throughout my works I tried to demonstrate how nature is seen in different areas. In the outside we see how nature compliments the rest of the outside  and the sepia toned pictures have shown the beauty of withering nature. At the beginning of the concentration I tried to get my idea across with time using a clock but that didn't work so i am now using different stages of nature.

ideas for concentration 5&6

For my next concentration I want to use a long shutter speed to capture lighting like this. I don't want to take the exact idea like every other picture on the internet, but incorporate this idea into it.

Not only would i like to use long shutter speeds in my concentration i would also like to use short shutter speeds too to show how we miss quick movements.

Concentration 3&4

This work relates to my central idea about time. In this image i have tried to portray two different time periods in one picture. I have shown the decay of nature over time by combining two pictures together. I have also displayed the different ways precipitation displays itself. I think i have shown improvement through this picture because I opened myself to using photoshop not only to enhance an image but to bring two pictures together.

This image relates to my work because I have tried to show time in a photograph other than using a clock. Here we can see dead leaves and un unwanted pencil. The pencil over time loses its eraser due to writing over time. i have shown improvement in this image because I'm trying to put a meaning in an image through small details.

Concentration 1 & 2

My first two works demonstrate my central idea because they demonstrate what happens over time. The First picture is successful because the clock demonstrates time and over time the leaves die. The second pictures shows that over time people move on, move away.
These two pictures connect because they show what happens over time. it shows improvement because at first i focused on a dead object and in the second i used a moving object in my photograph.
a goal i have for future works is to incorporate more object but not a lot where it overwhelms the picture.

"Time"

Central Idea:
For my concentration I will be focusing on the idea how time changes everything. My works will consist of photographs. In every single photograph I will have a red clock either as the focal point or somewhere in the background. The pictures will be in black and white except the clock.
Ideas for first three pieces:
One:
For the first piece i want to set the central idea about time. take a picture of the clock with something thats dying or faded.
Two:
I want a bouquet of flowers held by someone with a clock in the background
Three:
walking away, moving on. with the clock.
